What we provide with the service

The online planning service allows you to do the following.
  • Search for Planning Application by a variety of criteria such as address, date and type.
  • View details of Planning Applications.
  • Identify the status of a Planning Application.
  • Submit comments on Planning Applications during the appropriate stage of the application process.
  • View documents related to a Planning Application.
  • Application Documents will be available for inspection through this website within 5 working days of receipt.

Terms Of Use

The online planning history contained within this site at present is incomplete, and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal 'Land Charge Search'.

No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from this site.

The information contained within the site does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.

Copyright Notice
Plans, drawings and materials submitted to the Council are protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (Section 47). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner (the applicant/agent/architect) otherwise, you will be in breach of copyright.

Data Protection Act
Please note that application forms, plans and supporting material will be published on the Internet. Similarly representations about planning applications will also be published. In doing so the Council's Planning Service will endeavour to comply with the Data Protection Act. This will entail the non-publication of telephone numbers and email addresses of applicants and those making representations about planning applications as well as all forms of signature.
